The splitter is used to split a single inlet to multiple outlets.
The feed of the inlet material stream is copied to the outlet material streams and an equilibrium calculation is performed: It performs a P-VF flash in case the feed is at a phase boundary, and the resulting temperature is less then 0.1 K from the feed temperature. Otherwise it performs a P-H flash for a stream that is near enough to pure, or a T-P flash. The product rates are adjusted according to the specified split factor(s).
Outlets can be added and removed from the splitter user interface. For each outlets but the last one, a split factor must be specified. The split factor for the last outlet is determined by mass balance; the sum of all split factors is unity.
A pressure drop can optionally be specified.
